"Stand with Rand" Lyrics

(Introduction spoken, except where in italics:)

Well in two thousand eight, yeah, I was goin' real straight
And so I voted for a man named McCain
And in two thousand nine, I was doin' real fine
Except my heart was in a lot of pain
And in two thousand ten, I had a heart 'ttack again
Which brought my grand total up to seven
And that's when my friend said to me, "don't pretend"
Said "get Obamacare in twenty-eleven"
In two thousand twelve, I only thought of myself
And so I voted for a man named Romney
Then in twenty-thirteen, the doctors took out my spleen
And so I wish we'd had a better nominee
Then my friend said to me, "with Obama you're free"
I said "hey man, I'm better off dead"
He said "hey man, that's mean, what about twenty-sixteen?"
and this is what I said

(Verse 1, remainder of lyrics sung:)

There's a-times when he's a-workin' on his budget
And I bet sometimes he wants to say "aw, fudge it"
But I know that my old Rand's gonna pull through
Bringin' prosperity to folks like me and you

(Chorus:)

I'm an American man and I Stand with Rand
I hold that 'merican flag in my hand
Like my daddy done did before me at Iwo Jima
I'm six foot tall and I watch football
I love my country, it's one for all
Like my daddy done did before me at Hiroshima

(Verse 2:)

There's a-times when he's filibust'rin' in the Senate
And the Democrats just make him say "god dammit"
But I know that my old Rand's gonna pull through
Steerin' foreign policy away from them damn Jews

(Repeat Chorus)

(Verse 3:)

There are folks who say Rand's daddy's a curmudgeon
But I say old Ron Paul is just a Russian
But I know that my old Rand's gonna pull through
Gonna turn red all those states that now are blue

(Repeat Chorus)

(Verse 4:)

There's-a times when he's debatin' all them gummints
And I bet sometimes he wants to say "dad gummit"
But I know that my old Rand's gonna pull through
Gonna give the ol' what-for t' A.C.L.U.

(Final Chorus:)

I'm an American man and I Stand with Rand
I hold that 'merican flag in my hand
Like my daddy done did before me at Iwo Jima
I'm six foot tall and I watch football
I love my country, it's one for all
Like my daddy done did before me at Hiroshima
I love America, but I hate F.E.M.A.
