Eleven Things That Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Got Wrong About the Israeli-Arab Conflict, in His Interview with Jimmy Dore

     On Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023, Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., appeared on The Jimmy Dore Show, hosted by comedian-turned-podcaster Jimmy Dore.

     In that interview, Kennedy defended his so-called "unconditional" support of the State of Israel, while making a few minor concessions regarding the crimes committed by the Israelis.

     Kennedy made several inaccurate and/or incomplete statements during that interview.

     During the interview, Dore confessed that he was "not the smartest person" to "push back against" what Kennedy was saying. But Dore invited Kennedy to debate Max Blumenthal (a journalist of Jewish heritage whose father served in the Clinton Administration) on the topic of the Israeli-Arab and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.

     Since the mainstream media are currently smearing Kennedy as an anti-Semite (over his comments about Covid-19 and Anne Frank), it seems unlikely that the debate between Kennedy and Blumenthal will ever happen.

     That's why I would like to take this opportunity to clear-up a few of the things Kennedy said that were inaccurate.

     1. Although the Jews were obviously aligned against the Nazis, it's unfair of R.F.K. to conclude that the Jews were "on the side of the Allies" completely. That’s because, in 1947-48, during the War of Independence, the Jews kicked the British and Palestinians off Israeli land, at the same time.

 

     2. While R.F.K. was correct that the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine would have given the Arabs four-fifths of the land, most of that land was desert. That plan was not unfair to the Jews; that deal offered Jews plenty of good land.

 

     3. R.F.K. said the Arabs kicked Jews out (which is true), but also that the Jews didn’t kick all the Arabs out. The reason Israel didn't kick the Arabs out, in 1947-48, is because there were (and still are) so many Arabs there, that they couldn't possibly kick them all out. The Israelis did, however, make significant efforts to kick them out, including forcing 700,000 Arabs out in 1947-48, including “driving them into the sea” and onto boats, in an event known to Arabs as the nakba (“catastrophe”). The phrase “driving them into the sea” is now used against Arabs, to stoke fears that they will destroy Israeli civilization.

 

     4. R.F.K. rightfully says "Palestinian children are taught that it's okay to kill Jews". That’s true, but R.F.K. failed to mention that: 1) Palestinians have been under siege for nearly four generations, so they don’t need to be taught racist attitudes in order to find out who is responsible for bombing and imprisoning them; and 2) plenty of Israeli children are taught that it's okay to kill Arabs. Abby Martin can confirm just how many Israelis think it’s not only fine to kill Arabs, and many even seem to think that it is a laughing matter.

 

     5. R.F.K. rightfully criticized the killing of individual Jewish people by Palestinians. But he neglected to mention that a reason why Palestinians kill individual Jews, instead of bombing Israeli military targets (to comport with the rules of war), is because choosing Israeli military targets would be insane, due to the totally disparate levels of military technology and capability possessed by the two sides. Taking out an Israeli military base would get Arabs carpet-bombed. It would be a self-genocide mission.

 

     6. R.F.K. said that it is wrong to bomb non-military targets, but he also admitted that Israel has a policy that they will dig under sites being used as Palestinian militant positions. The reason why Palestinians take refuge in schools, mosques, and hospitals, is not because they are trying to make their children and sick people into human shields. It is because they are praying that the Israelis will not be so inhumane as to resort to bombing them even in their schools, mosques, and hospitals. A person only looks like a human shield if you're already willing to shoot at him. It is regrettable that the Arabs keep munitions in these places, but that is what is necessary for their self-defense, because the Israelis are willing to bomb any and all locations which could ever potentially be used for “military purposes” (i.e., self-defense).

 

     7. R.F.K. claimed that “Gaza isn't occupied; it's under self-rule". That is not true. In 2006, Hamas won elections in Gaza, after being encouraged by the Israelis to run in Palestinian Authority elections. Then the Israelis prevented those Hamas members from taking their oaths of office and their seats, and now considers Hamas a terrorist organization. That is not what self-rule looks like. Also, Gaza is surrounded by a fortified perimeter with razor-wire-topped fences and guard towers. Snipers with the I.D.F. (Israeli Defense Forces) will often shoot at children who come "too close" to those perimeter fences. And Gaza is not allowed sea access, because it’s under blockade. And it’s rarely allowed access to Egypt over land. So it is pretty much an isolated country, like North Korea. No country can be sovereign or self-sufficient which has practically no contact with the outside world. The fact that Israeli troops are not patrolling Gazan streets, does not make the Gaza Strip any less "occupied".

 

     8. When asked about the Gaza Strip, R.F.K. said "Why doesn't Jordan open itself up to the Palestinians?". Jordan is not connected to Gaza. Jordan opening itself up, would only help the people in the West Bank; it would not help anybody in Gaza.

 

     9. R.F.K. argued that Arabs can visit the Temple Mount, but Jews are not allowed to, therefore Arabs have more rights. That is not true, because: 1) The Jordanian Islamic Waqf owns that site, and it's allowed to set the rules; 2) Jews obey those rules because there are Arab as well as Judaic rules in place which are designed to protect the holiest sites from being trod on by the wrong people at the wrong times; and 3) a group of radical rabbis (associated with Machon Ha’Mikdash and the Temple Mount Faithful movement) ascended the Temple Mount illegally in the early 90s.

 

     10. R.F.K. seems to be trying to imply - without saying it directly - that the Arabs do not recognize the right of Jews to exist. But the Arab nations only reject the rights of Jews to exist as a state. Israel as a people (i.e., the Jewish people) has a right to exist. But Israel as a state (i.e., the Zionist imperialist Israeli statist government) does not have an inherent right to exist. Nations only have a right to exist if they do not start too many wars with their neighbors. Israel started all but like two of the wars they've been involved in. States do not have the right to exist. They are based on legitimized violence, and monopoly. If "the Arabs won't negotiate", then it’s because they are being forced to accept Israeli statehood, so no real free negotiation is possible, because one of the terms is non-negotiable. It wouldn’t be a huge challenge to get the Arabs to recognize the rights of Jews as a religion, a people, and a nation, because the Jews are those things, and they will always be those things. But there’s no need to intimidate the Arabs into endorsing a form of imperialist statehood that implicitly claims all the world’s Jews as its potential members, even if they have never visited the land. Jews believe they are protected by G-d, not by a king or a military. There is no need for a “Jewish state”, and various rabbis - such as Yoel and Moshe Teitelbaum, Yaakov Shapiro, Yisroel Dovid Weiss, and Elnahan Beck - have argued that the idea of Jewish sovereignty, without properly ordained rabbinic courts (Sanhedrin), is antithetical to Jewish teachings (specifically, the story of King Saul in the Book of Solomon). According to traditional “ultra-Orthodox” Jews, the Temple Mount is not supposed to be completely open to all Jews, until all people miraculously attain complete knowledge of G-d and His word, and join together in worship of YHWH. Secular liberal Jews who oppose Israeli apartheid do not make this argument, but it is true.

 

     11. R.F.K. said “Ehud Barak offered the Palestinians everything they wanted." That is not true because the Palestinians wanted Israel to stop being a state, and Barak did not offer the Palestinians this option. By the way, this is the same Ehud Barak who hung out with Jeffrey Epstein. And R.F.K. allegedly flew on the Lolita Express on February 17th and 27th, 1994.

Introduction

     The following list consists of thirty-six topics which one should study if one wishes to learn the history of attempts by Zionists and Jewish people to cooperate, make deals with, or even collaborate with, Nazis and anti-Semites.

     I am publishing this list, not to criticize nor condemn the religion of Judaism, nor to condemn Jewish people. Nor do I wish to dismiss the rights of Jewish people to defend themselves when attacked, and to live where they please without harming others. Nor do I wish to pretend that Zionism and Nazism are the exact same ideology; I am only asserting that there is some overlap between the two ideologies.

    The purpose of this article is to explain that Jewish people have cooperated with Nazis and anti-Semites, but also that that cooperation has typically and primarily been done for the purposes of saving Jewish lives, and reducing harm and suffering experienced by Jewish people. Secondary goals of that cooperation were promoting Jewish emigration to Palestine, and establishing a Jewish national homeland (i.e., a state) there, goals which were thought to result in the primary goals of reducing Jewish deaths and suffering. 

     It is a terrible and unfortunate thing that Jewish Holocaust survivors, and other Jewish people, have thought it necessary to turn other Jews in to the authorities, in order to save their own families and themselves. But needless to say, those Jewish people cooperated with their captors only because they were under coercion and pressure. They did what they did out of desperation; from being forced into "cooperating with authority".
     The fact that they were under duress from their authoritarian government that wanted them dead, means that most "crimes" or "wrongs" that one Jew committed against another during that time, were likely done for the sake of each person's own individual survival, without consideration for the needs of others. It also means that some of them developed Stockholm Syndrome; they began to identify with their captors. Sometimes that is what happens when we are under other people's control; we justify the condition we're in, by taking genuine pity upon ourselves, and in doing so we identify with the pity which our captors have for us (which, unlike our own self-pity, is merciless and fraudulent).

     It is a sad thing that our concerns for other individuals break down when we are pitted against each other for survival; especially when we are forced to work for little reward, and worked to death. These were extenuating circumstances, and the fact that Jewish people were under coercion and slave-like conditions, should be considered a mitigating factor, when considering the actions taken by Holocaust survivors.
     This should go, both during the Holocaust itself, as well as afterwards, because survivors who fled Europe still risked arrest as illegal immigrants when they landed in Palestine.
     The Israeli Defense Forces were cobbled together out of three paramilitary groups, which would otherwise be considered terrorist groups, if not for a legal declaration of independence as a sovereign power by Israel in May 1948. Holocaust survivors who fled to Palestine only became "terrorists" because that's what they had to do in order to resist British attempts to limit immigration of Jewish refugees into what was then British Mandate Palestine.
     To quote comedian George Carlin, "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter."

     To be clear, what I am saying is that very little of what World War II -era Jews did to "cooperate" with the Nazis, should be construed as collaboration (which goes above and beyond cooperation). This is not to say, however, that no Jewish person has ever intentionally cooperated with anti-Semites and Nazis; some have.

     Even when Jewish cooperation with anti-Semites appears to be intentional (rather than accidental), it still may be accidental. Such cooperation has usually been motivated by: 1) a desire to set aside differences with anti-Semites and find some common goal that they can advance together, in order to reduce tensions (for example, anti-miscegenation, and assured deportation to Palestine); and/or 2) a perceived need to adopt anti-Jewishness in a limited manner (that is, to promote selective rejection of Jewish characteristics).
     The latter has usually been done in order to appease the Judeophobes whom are in charge of the political apparatus of the relevant host-nation. For example, some Western Jews, such as the early Zionist Ze'ev Jabotinsky, have practically adopted the European racists' ideas that the Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern Europe look "Asiatic" and ugly.

     Sometimes, however, Jews adopt anti-Semitism, in order to increase or exaggerate Jewish suffering, in order to make it more visible. The goal of this is to increase Jewish safety.

     It is easy to tell, from studying the stories of Theodor Herzl and Sarah Marshak, why Jewish people would want the suffering of Jewish people to be more noticeable.

     Herzl (see #3) sought to make this suffering more noticeable, by forging a sort of alliance with anti-Semites, saying "the anti-Semites will become our most dependable friends, the anti-Semitic countries our allies" and acknowledging that the Zionists' desire to leave Europe coincided with the European Christian anti-Semites' desire to be rid of the Jews.

     I do not say this in order to promote the idea that all exaggeration of Jewish suffering is staged, nor to promote the idea that all Jewish suffering is the result of faked or staged hate crimes. College student Sarah Marshak (#30) was accused of faking a hate crime after she drew swastikas on her own college dorm room door. But she only did this after someone else did it first - after the authorities failed to find the original vandal, and seemed to have given up on Marshak's case - a fact which was overlooked in reports about the vandalism.
     Marshak certainly exaggerated her victimization, and faked a crime and falsified a police report. But she did it because her previous victimization was being ignored; because the police had not yet found the perpetrator; the one who targeted her specifically, and possibly intended to hurt her. Marshak felt that she needed to manufacture another incident, in order to demonstrate to the police that the threat was still ongoing, rather than an isolated incident that they should treat as if it happened in the past.
     There is some similarity between the actions of Sarah Marshak and those of Theodor Herzl; both sought to increase the visibility of Jewish suffering. Herzl could have very well believed that what he was advocating was the course of action most conducive to increasing Jewish safety. But I feel confident in saying that what Sarah Marshak did was probably not as sinister as what Herzl had in mind.
     I wouldn't accuse Herzl of trying to promote anti-Jewish violence, but it's not unreasonable to ask whether Herzl would have considered limited violence against Jewish people (whatever that means) to be something conducive to his goals.

     Jewish collaboration and cooperation with - and appeasement of - Nazis, anti-Semites, and Judeophobes, happens, and has historically happened, for various reasons. What looks to one person like opportunism and betrayal, may look to another like doing what needs to be done to reduce suffering and to live another day.

     To some, the internment of Palestinians in the State of Israel - and Israel's wars with its neighbors - are intolerable, and could not possibly be justified by either the Holocaust nor the need to keep Jews safe in the present.
     But to the staunch defenders of Zionism, the need to protect "Israel" is so important, that the need to keep Jewish people safe, is subjugated to the need to promote the national security interests of the State of Israel and the Israeli Defense Forces. The needs of "Israel", meaning "the people of Israel", has been subverted to the needs of the State of Israel.

     That is why we must study the above explained and below listed topics, and that is why we must ask whether the militarism of the State of Israel is truly in the interests of the safety of Jewish people.
     We must ask whether the I.D.F. is protecting Jewish lives, or instead arming the enemies of Israel in order to provocateur attacks against Jewish people in order to justify increased military budgets and more lashing out disproportionately at Israel's enemies.
     Study of these topics are necessary; not only for preventing continued misguided, aggressive Israeli militarism in the name of "keeping Jews safe", but also for understanding how good people, and even Jewish people, can be tricked into complacency with fascism and anti-Semitism.

     America has been so eager to "protect Americans and American interests", in fact, that it has resorted to funding its enemies - and even arm and train them, and arm several of its enemies against one another - in order to provocateur them into committing attacks against Americans.

     The United States pretends the Iranians are preparing attacks against U.S. military bases, which could not be attacked by Iranians, if only they had never been set up in lands outside U.S. jurisdiction in the first place.

     In 2015, the United States sold weapons to terrorist groups in Syria and Ukraine. Senator Rand Paul voted for that weapons sale, but he apologized four years later, in 2019. Between 2015 and 2019, it was reported that the weapons sold to terrorist groups in Ukraine and Syria, were used to attack Israelis. The State of Israel, too, sold weapons to terrorist groups in Ukraine and Syria around the same time.

     Here is to the hope that the Israelis will stop emulating America in its penchant for selling weapons to enemies, and here is to the hope that Americans will stop emulating Israel's racist and illiberal surveillance and travel security policies.

Eighty-Four Religious Texts Not Included in the King James Version of the Bible (Incomplete)

     I have compiled this list of antilegomena, Apocrypha and pseudepigrapha, so as to include:

     1) texts which were omitted from the King James Bible (i.e., the "normal books" of the Bible, or homologoumena, or anagignoskomena),
     2) texts which pertain to hermetic Christian and Jewish religious tradition but were never considered for inclusion in that Bible,
     3) other hermetic texts which could, just as well, have been included in the Bible, if the texts in #2 had been included, and
     4) books which are accepted as parts of the Bible by certain sects of Christianity, but not by others.

     The term pseudepigrapha refers to texts which are not formally considered to be considered part of accepted scripture; and/or to texts, the genuineness of whose origin, is doubtful. The term Apocrypha refers to probably falsely attributed texts composed by Christian patriarchs around the year 200 C.E.. The Roman Catholic Church calls the Apocrypha "Deuterocanonical Books".

     Due to my limited knowledge on this subject, I cannot include any more information than I include below. If I knew more, I would at least make a note as to whether these texts exist in the first place. Some do, and some don't; while (I would suspect) others exist in part, and there are disputes about others.

     I have organized this list as close to chronological order as I am aware. I'm positive that it's not correct, because I have not looked at any specific information estimating how long ago these texts originated.

     What follows is a list of hermetic Jewish and Christian texts, which would have been in the Old and New Testaments had they been included in the Bible. I have also included a short list of books which are likely to have much more information on these subjects.

     If I accidentally included a text that is in the K.J.V., then (at least I hope) it is probably a text that is still worth inclusion here, because it is not in all Bibles (and is accepted as part of the Bible by some Christian traditions or sects, but not by others).
     I would like to have included texts from Islam, and from non-Abrahamic religions and traditions (as well as texts regarding the Babylonian Talmud and Jerusalem Talmud), but those topics will have to lie beyond the scope of this article.

Part 1: Introduction

     The following is my response to the question "What has Israel done wrong?".

     This article does not contain any criticism of the Jewish religion. The fact that I am criticizing Israel should not be construed to mean that I am attacking Jewish people as a whole, nor the Jewish religion. I do not mean to either criticize or attack Judaism; I mean to affirm Judaism, and, at that, affirm it as a religion of peace.
     I only mean to criticize the military and diplomatic policies of the State of Israel, and how they affect that country's relationship with the United States, its Arab neighbors, and the rest of the world. I intend this as constructive criticism, and I believe that Jews would experience less anti-Semitic violence if the party governing Israel were not so insistent that Israel and its actions represent all Jewish people the world over, and if the domestic and diplomatic policies of the State of Israel were not so militaristic.

     Israel's belligerent militarism has nothing to do with traditional Jewish values, and should not reflect badly upon the Jewish religion, nor should every Jew worldwide be held to answer anyone in public, and choose between Israel and his host country. On the contrary; the world will benefit from increased awareness that there is disagreement among Jewish people.

     As long as open-mindedness and acceptance continue to spread, it will no longer be necessary, nor justifiable, to put up a front that the Jewish people are so united about supporting Israel, in order to convince the world to help Jewish people. It is possible to help Jewish people who are in need, without assisting the sovereign government of the State of Israel. Furthermore, the appearance of united support of Israel among Jewish people, will only continue to make all Jewish people look guilty of Israeli war crimes by association, or cement the stereotype in the minds of impressionable people that Israel's war crimes reflect Jewish religious principles. They don't.

     Additionally, I recognize that other countries besides Israel - for example; Honduras, Venezuela, Libya, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and China - are experiencing serious crises which deserve our attention, so I don't mean to single Israel out. I only wish to explain the extent of Israeli influence on U.S. policy, in order to illuminate my readers as to why I feel that this issue is worth so much attention in the first place.

     I will also note that the inordinate influence of Israeli policy on American policy, which I allege in this article, should prompt us to admit that criticism of Israel means nothing unless it is coming from a position of credibility. And diplomatic efforts to convince our allies to stop doing something, will always fail, if we are doing it ourselves.
     That's why I cannot, in good conscience, criticize Israel for its treatment of the Palestinians and its Arab neighbors, without criticizing the treatment of Native Americans, which was perpetrated by my own government, that of the United States. Nor can I neglect to mention all the wars and racist policies the United States has enacted, nor the various wars of territorial conquest and for territorial gain which America has waged against the British, Spanish, French, Mexicans, and the Native American tribes, and still criticize the Israeli policy of flouting U.N. resolutions concerning unlawful occupation of Palestinian territories. The occupation of Palestine, is worthy of being condemned as a movement of troops into a territory occupied through conquest during wartime, just as the annexation of Crimea by Russia arguably was in 2014, and just as the German invasion of Poland was in 1939.

     Whatever happens, somebody - whether it be the United States, Israel, the anarchists, or whomever else - somebody needs to set a good example, set real standards of human rights, do it for a long time, and protect human rights better, longer, and more consistently than anybody else. Then you can think about "throwing the first stone", instead of simply ordering another country to stop doing something that you're still doing.

     And, of course, anarchists can claim that they have deprived people of human rights a whole lot less than nearly any government you could think of has.

What Israel Has Done Wrong With Regard to Nuclear Weapons

1. Israeli has nuclear weapons that it won't admit to.

2. Israel hasn't signed the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

3. Israel bombed an Iraqi nuclear reactor.

4. Israel probably helped attack an Iranian nuclear reactor.

5. Israeli agents may have plotted to kill John F. Kennedy.

What Israel Has Done Wrong to Palestinians, and to its Arab Neighbors

6. Proto-Israeli paramilitary forces massacred an Arab village.

7. Israel attempted a failed false-flag attack called the Lavon Affair.

8. Israeli politicians have been exposed making racist statements.

9. Israel violates numerous U.N. resolutions.

What Israel Has Done Wrong to Americans and Christians

23. Israel is a xenophobic, anti-black, anti-Arab, security state.

24. Israel receives billions in aid from U.S. taxpayers.

25. Israel drops American bombs on Palestinians.

26. Israeli companies test chemical weapons on civilians and children.

27. The pro-Israel lobby unduly influences U.S. policy in terms of defense, security, and diplomacy.

28. Israel secured a deal to make spy equipment for the U.S.., with the help of a congressman who milked 9/11 patriotism.

29. Israel's regional interests may have played a key role in America going to war with Iraq for the second time.

30. The Israeli military bombed a ship full of American sailors, in order to try to drag America into the Six-Day War.

31. Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard gave classified U.S. information to Israel, and is now free.

32. Israeli counter-intelligence may have worked with the U.S. to engineer 9/11 as a false flag.

33. Pro-Israel media have lied about the faith of the 1993 W.T.C. attackers and the 9/11 attackers.

34. Israeli counter-intelligence, Larry Silverstein's business deals in Israel, Dancing Israelis, Danny Lewin, and more, all suggest Israeli involvement in 9/11.

35. An Israeli killed protester Rachel Corrie.

36. Jewish-Americans are over-represented in government, and all are eligible for Israeli citizenship through the Right of Return.

37. The Israeli equivalent of the C.I.A., and an Israeli fighting technique, are being promoted in American entertainment.

38. Some Israelis mock Christians and Christianity, and burn churches and desecrate Christian graves.

39. Israeli influence on U.S. diplomacy and foreign policy risk an uninformed and misguided policy on the Islamic world.

     Numerous Israeli politicians have been known to make racist statements, and advocate for segregationist and exclusionist policies towards non-Jews.
     In the 1980s, then Chief Rabbi of Israel Ovadia Yosef supposedly said that five thousand Palestinians "aren't worth a Jewish fingernail". The overt racism of this statement aside, some anti-Zionist Jews believe that the idea of a "chief rabbi" or "chief rabbinate" has nothing to do with Judaism; because the nasi (which means "prince") of the Jerusalem Sanhedrin (a court of rabbis) should ever be considered a "head rabbi" in any way, shape, or form. Yosef was not properly ordained to be a nasi, nor is the Chief Rabbinate the ultimate authority on Judaism (G-d still is).

    Rabbi Yosef said many other racist and intolerant things that have been called out as offensive. However, it's possible that he did not make the "Jewish fingernail" comment. Rabbi Ya'acov Perin said "One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail" at the funeral of mass murderer Baruch Goldstein in 1994, but the Yosef quote, if genuine, is supposed to be from the 1980s.

     Either way, the sentiment exists in Israel that Palestinian or Arab lives are somehow worth less than the lives of Jewish people and Israelis.

Using schools, mosques, and hospitals for cover, is intended to inspire sympathy in the hearts of the I.D.F. soldiers, so that they take pity on them, and refrain from striking. Striking civilian targets involves mass casualties, and is a war crime.

     Israel security is reputedly very suspicious of foreigners, Westerners, and reporters. Visitors to Israel should be advised that if they have criticized Israel, or the occupation of Palestinian territories, on social media, or on a blog, they might not be allowed into the country.

     In 2017 or 2018, an African-American journalist from New York visited Israel, and reported in a New York based magazine that he was asked whether he was Arab, presumably because of his darker skin.      30. The Israeli military bombed a ship full of American sailors, in order to try to drag America into the Six-Day War.

     The Israeli Air Force perpetrated the U.S.S. Liberty incident on June 8th, 1967.

     The Israeli military killed 34 U.S. sailors aboard the unarmed technical research and communications vessel the U.S.S. Liberty, sinking it in a barrage of bullets that lasted approximately two whole hours. A hundred seventy-one people were also wounded in the attack.

     Israel positively identified the ship as American earlier in the day, but later claimed that they got the ship's location wrong. The Israelis then blamed the attack on the United Arab Republic, a now non-existent country made up of Egypt and Syria, which was at that point fighting Israel.

     Essentially, Israel tried to drag the United States, and its army, into the Six-Day War, in order to give it the edge against its Arab neighbors. Israel acquired the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and other territories, in that war; territories whose occupation continue to generate problems for Israel's public relations.

     The fact that the Israelis intentionally attacked this U.S. military vessel, means that Israel is the only "Semitic" or Middle Eastern country that has successfully attacked a U.S. military target unprovoked since the end of World War II (aside from the attack on the U.S.S. Cole, perpetrated by the Sudan).

Our counter-terrorism policy is to create more terrorism, that's sanctioned by our own government. Our policy is to radicalize Islam, and then impose mass punishment upon Muslims by blaming them for failing to hold fellow Muslims responsible.

     Barrett believes that the reason this policy is successful, is because American intelligence agents are usually able to stop these attacks (such as by scrambling fighter jets), which wins them more funding for police because they prevented an attack (that they staged to begin with). But when American intelligence agents fail to prevent an attack that they staged, they still get more funding, because then, it looks like they need that funding (and it also serves as a reminder that we need to clamp down on Americans' civil liberties more).

     45. A group of Israelis may have mocked bombing victims during a photo shoot.

     In 2006, Israeli children were photographed writing messages onto Israeli tank shells intended to be fired across the northern Israeli border into Lebanon.
     Although it looks on the surface like the children were drawing taunting messages on the rockets, their messages were supposedly messages of love, directed at Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Additionally, defenders of the photographs say that the children had been in an underground shelter for five days before the photographs were taken. Children also drew Israeli flags on the rockets.
     According to reports, the parents of the children, and photographic journalists who were there when this occurred, thought that letting the children draw on tank shells would show the contrast between love and war. But it is also easy to understand how these photographs could be perceived as insensitive, taunting of the people who will eventually end up on the other side of those shells, and even as an example of Israelis teaching their children to hate Arabs.

     47. Some Israeli charities are scams to fund the army.

     Jewish prophecy foretells that in Olam Ha-Ba ("the world to come"), the land of Israel will flourish anew. That happened, many thousands of trees were planted, and the miraculous desalinization process developed by Israeli scientists allowed the cultivation of many acres of land which would otherwise be impossible to farm due to the deserts.

     Charity organizations such as the Jewish National Fund (J.N.F.; popularly known as the "pennies for Israel" charity) collected funds which were intended to go toward the planting of trees in Israel, in order to help make that prophecy come true. Unfortunately, some of the funds which were collected for planting trees in Israel, went to purchasing guns and bombs for the Israeli Defense Forces. This was likely rationalized as "beating our ploughshares into swords".

     As a reminder, the I.D.F. was organized through the merger of three paramilitary organizations, which, until they were to formally constitute the military apparatus of a state, would otherwise be considered potential terrorist groups; stateless entities (that is, on par with I.S.I.S.).

     52. Israeli puts Jews in harm's way by associating Israeli war crimes with Judaism.

     62. The predication of the State of Israel upon the religion of Judaism is dubious in the first place.

     Pro-Israeli public relations outlets have predicated the existence and survival of the Jewish people upon the State of Israel. In practice, this means that Jews' safety is thought to be dependent upon the State of Israel's sovereignty, its right to "defend itself" as it sees fit (even if that means committing war crimes), and its exclusionary immigration policy.

     The idea that the Oaths of the Torah can only be fulfilled inside Israel, ignores the fact that the people of Moses received the Torah outside the land of Israel, and before entering the Holy Land. The Oaths can be fulfilled inside the land, and Jews can live in Israel at will, but ultra-Orthodox anti-Zionists Jews believe that willful mass immigration to Israel is prohibited, since the Jews are in exile (and have been since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D.).

     63. Some pro-Israel interests do not want to admit that Israel doesn't have full freedom of religion, and for good reason.

     Pro-Israel public relations outlets have supported the right of Jews to pray in the Old City, basically wherever and whenever they please, in defiance of Israeli and Jordanian authorities.
     In 2013, Rabbi Susan Silverman, the sister of Jewish-American comedian Sarah Silverman, protested Jews' lack of freedom to pray openly at the Wailing Wall, as part of a group called Women of the Wall.
     Jewish Israelis' supposed right to do this, is defended on the grounds that Israel is the only democracy and the only country with religious freedom in the Middle East. Additionally, the notion that in the world to come, Jerusalem will become "a house of prayer for all nations", is cited to defend the need to allow Jews to pray freely in the Old City of Jerusalem.

     This may seem like an inhibition of religious freedom, and an obvious instance of the Jews being correct, but the Jordanian Islamic Waqf has control of the Dome of the Rock, and restricts prayer to certain times and dates, and restricts Jews' freedom to overtly pray, for a reason.
     This is the spot which was formerly occupied by the First and Second Holy Temples. It is also believed to have been the spot where Abraham almost sacrificed his son Isaac. Some also believe that it was the "cornerstone of Creation", the first place on Earth created by G-d. Muslims also believe that Muhammad ascended to Heaven on this site; next to the Dome of the Rock mosque (al-Aqsa). Non-Muslims are not permitted to enter the Dome of the Rock.
     A lot of people - of various faiths - want these areas to be protected. The "Sanctum Sanctorum" (the "Holy of Holies", the name for the inner sanctuary of the Tabernacle) is probably the single most holy of all places in Judaism. It is believed to have once housed the Ark of the Covenant of the people of Moses.
     Stepping on the Holy of Holies (the former site of the Tabernacle -, or entering the sanctuary at the wrong date and time, or when one is not a Levite priest - is forbidden. Not in Islam; in Judaism, and according to Israeli law as well.
     Jordanian Islamic authorities are not the only ones who restrict prayer on the Temple Mount; Israeli law affects the legality of prayer there as well. So if anyone deserves to be protested for restricting prayer, then Jordanian and Israeli authorities must share equal blame. And it seems that the Women of the Wall protesters did assign equal blame. But we should also ask ourselves whether G-d deserves any blame, since He's the one who supposedly set these prayer rules down in the first place.
     And maybe He did, maybe He didn't! These ideas might seem unusual or foreign to Westerners, Christians, and secularists. But the problem is not necessarily that open prayer by Jewish people on the Temple Mount is going to cause some kind of "end of the world". The problem is that openly praying in public - in defiance of multiple religious and political organizations' requests, and at inappropriate times and dates and locations - is disruptive. It interferes with the religious liberty of non-Jews wishing to pray quietly, and without disrupting others, at that location.
     We may value religious liberty here in the West, and that is fine. But our freedom to practice our own religion (or no religion) should not negate other people's rights to practice their religion in peace. We have the right to worship as we please, but not if it requires hurting others, and not if it requires shoving our religion in other people's faces in public, and entering their holy spaces without their permission.
