Joseph W. Kopsick was born on February 24th, 1987 in Lake Forest, Illinois, and grew up in Lake Bluff. A Democrat until 2000, he supported the Green Party in high school. Kopsick enrolled at the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2005. In 2007, he became interested in Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich, and switched from a legal studies track to political science. He graduated in 2009. Kopsick supported Ron Paul in 2008, Gary Johnson in 2012 and 2016, Howie Hawkins in 2020, and Jill Stein in 2024. Kopsick ran for the U.S. House four times (Wisconsin’s 2nd in 2012, receiving 6 votes; Oregon’s 3rd in 2014; Illinois’s 10th in 2016, receiving 26 votes; and Illinois’s 10th in 2020, receiving 18 votes); and also received 10 votes in 2024 when he ran for Illinois State Assembly (60th District). Joe is active on Facebook, YouTube, Rumble, and Instagram. Kopsick has written and managed the Aquarian Agrarian blog since October 2010.
